What a way to go...

Man dies in steam engine accident

A man was killed when he fell from the cab of a steam traction engine and was crushed under its wheels.

The accident happened on Sunday morning a mile from the A43 on the approach road to Walgrave in Northamptonshire.

The 71-year-old victim was a passenger on the McLaren traction engine, which had travelled from Alconbury, Cambs and was heading for Holcot.

Another man, who was driving the vehicle, was badly shocked but otherwise was unhurt.

Police are carrying out further investigations and a report will be sent to the coroner.
