The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
For weeks now I've been entering clients into a database I've (partially) built and couldnt figure out why the client name wouldnt copy from the main form to the subform since that was the field the two forms were linked on. So every day I type in all the other information, then go to the table and put the ClientID# in the blank field... very frustrating!
So today I decided to take another look at the subform and it turns out that in my infinite wisdom, the drop down menu on the subform was set to unbound and had no control source. Hard to make two fields equal if the second field doesn't know what the first one is supposed to be..
I think someone needs to take away my right to build any more databases... cuz that was just silly of me
I, myself have decided to give up building databases on the basis that they're bad for my health.
I get far too many requests to build the things with no requirements to work from at all: "Oh, we'd like and 'Intelligence' database please. To hold... you know, Intelligence."
I've been tasked with building a database that "Predicts Risks" - the ones we dont know about yet or havent had before.... based on what? how much they havent had before?
Who knows - anywho I agree with Nate (as always) it does indeed suck a bit.......
But when you're boss knows nothing about Access you can always throw something together in a couple of hours and say it took days - which is why I spend my time tutting and frowning when on the Bored Board!!!!!

usually i just leave an impressive looking table open on my task bar (something with a lot of information).. then when i hear my boss about to walk by, i pull up the table and stare at it puzzled. Really, I bet he never knew names and phone numbers were so confusing!

Hehe, i do this but i just keep the code window in the task bar, cuz my boss knows a little about access - enuff to be dangerous (typing that word made me think of Dangeresque)

I do the same - always keep a code window on the task bar!!
Just install Windows ME on a separate partition....... boot up from that - it'll provide the Blue Screen and re-boots with startling regularity........
