lets give this a go and see how I do. still not lookding still not looking still not loking............still not looking still not looking

wow, i did pretty good.

I will now try transcribing what I am currently reading.

these files are acttually location in two separeapte places. the files need to be executed on the seb server and , therefore, their pimary location is the werb sercer. Howerver, VS.Net also kleeps a copy in its local cache. VS.NET synchronizes the fiels between its localc cahce and the server.

not too bad

Translation:  Ok - I have a plan.  Why don't we all try to type the same passage into the (can't remember what the next word was) and see how long it takes.  I shall go and fine a suitable one straight away.

Also, I'm gonna practice my touch typing.

The one advantage of typing 8 hours a day for neigh on 10 years is that my typing at speed is pretty damned good, especially when I have my keyboard lined up correctly.#

Occasionally I do see to hit that bloody hash key mind.  Still looks so far like that's th e only problem in this little speedy type test.  Apart from that E that I've just noticed.  Maybe I'm not as good as I though. Ballsacks.

This test was stupid because they don't double space after a sentance which counts as a mistake but that's what was drilled into my head oh so long ago and I couldn't figure out what was wrong at first. But anyway..

98.99 wpm
466 cpm

3 Mistakes (all double spacing errors )

see i was always taught that double-spacing thing too.. and i generally still do it however i read an article lately that said it was a thing of the past because printing and printers are so sophisticated these days that they don't need the extra room as provided by the double space for the fullstop/period anymore

i still do it, but yeah (also my mistakes haha)

I always type as fast as I can...I've even heard some people claim they can type with two fingers...I think they're lying, nobody is that coordinated...Ben

I actually worked with a girl who typed as fast as I do (or very nearly) with two fingers. She is a master of the two finger hunt and peck.

I actually realized that I don't use all my fingers when I type. I put a mirror in front of my keys to watch myself, and with my right hand I only use my index and middle fingers for general typing .. thumb and pinky used for space bar and enter key) My ring finger just kind of floats above the keyboard. While watching myself type it started twitching waiting to be used. On my left hand i use all of them I also have my right hand one key over from the home keys (instead of jkl; its kl;')

I took the test again...this time I got a passage without any space problems..

116 wpm
500.77 cpm

1 mistake.

I feel better now lol.

86.73 wpm or 361.71cpm which is way better than I'm actually qualified. I only took the 60 wpm exam at school! so all in all I am quite happy with that really!
