Surname Spread

Look.  I found a site that shows me the spread of people with my surname around the UK!

Jolly interestin', innit?

Anyway, it's here if you want it!

There must be a US and/or International one around somewhere...

Wow.. I'm not all that surprised but.. I did a search for Kevin's last name and I got this message:

There were no results found for your selection. There needed to be at least 100 people with the name on the Electoral Register in 1998 to be in the database. We are hoping to add these missing names at a later date.

I got the same thing for the 1881 search as well.

Not that I'm surprised since there are only about 10 people in the world with my last name.

Apparently there are results for my mother's maiden name tho, but I'm getting the volume error. Will try later.

Looks like we get around too, in the States:

Not quite as common as the Smiths, though.  We are royalty, after all!

i'm not just as uncommon as i thought:

too bad they forgot to include northern ireland - every other day someone says to me 'oh, that's an unusual name' or

them: 'what's your name'
me: 'katie may'
them: 'and what's your surname?'
