Pedophiles to launch political party


AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch pedophiles are launching a political party to push for a cut in the legal age for sexual relations to 12 from 16 and the legalization of child pornography and sex with animals, sparking widespread outrage.


The Charity, Freedom and Diversity (NVD) party said on its Web site it would be officially registered Wednesday, proclaiming: "We are going to shake The Hague awake!"

The party said it wanted to cut the legal age for sexual relations to 12 and eventually scrap the limit altogether.

"A ban just makes children curious," Ad van den Berg, one of the party's founders, told the Algemeen Dagblad (AD) newspaper.

"We want to make pedophilia the subject of discussion," he said, adding the subject had been a taboo since the 1996 Marc Dutroux child abuse scandal in neighboring Belgium.

"We want to get into parliament so we have a voice. Other politicians only talk about us in a negative sense, as if we were criminals," Van den Berg told Reuters.



I think I'm gonna start a party with the manifesto: 'Shoot All Pedophiles'.  It'll be good.


If they were clever about this, they could monitor the ballots coming in and arrest anyone who votes for the Pedo Party as they leave the polling station.  Forget secret ballots, just get 'em off the streets!  Yay!

I don't quite get how anyone can stand for them without getting arrested.  They do indeed need shooting, by a blind-folded marksman, just to prolong it a bit, although first I think the law needs to be clarified a bit, as it seems a bit harsh shooting the 16 year old boy who sleeps with his girlfriend the day before her 16th birthday (sentences often seem to be illogically harsh in such situations as it is).

In most countries now the police are quite robust about ensuring that they only prosecute where there has been a clear abuse of power or trust - which is fair I think.


As for the Party - their initials (NVD) dont match their name? Isnt that a bit nuts?

They're Dutch, dude.  I think it's a distinct possibility that their party name is actually in Dutch rather than English.
