Don't know if you know of this one but...

A dropped cat always lands on its feet.
Buttered toast always lands butter-side-dow.
Therefore,
strap buttered toast butter side down to a cats feet, when you push it off a table the opposing forces should cause the cat to spin in perma-hover.
