So, I wonder if any of you computer peeps might be able to answer a question for me. We are designing a website at work. We want people to be able to view a pdf with links to video clips, but would prefer that people can't download the said video clips. Is there a way we can store the mpegs on the site and/or embed them in the pdf but protect them from being downloaded? No problem if people download the pdf doc, just not the clips.
Actually I'm not sure... You can change the Media Player's dimensions to make downloading non-intuitive, but I think if the source is available for play it can be downloaded... E.g.,
Hmmm, I was thinking about embedding a hyperlnk in the pdf to a webpage where the files are stored (but can't be downloaded). In which case, the question might change to:
Can you store mpegs on websites are prevent them from being downloaded??
I was gonna suggest streaming - no really i was - because we used to do it to protect our music from downloading - Hengle knows alot about that kinda stuff.
