Thought I'd share. My mother broke my old one (well, she says she didn't but she used it, it worked, she was the next to use it, it didn't). My new kettle is silver & shiny & boils really fast. It strikes me I have a lot of shiny things.
I too have a shiny bin in the kitchen (& also in my bedroom & the bathroom). I have a shiny shower & shiny candle holders & clothes with shiny bits, among other shiny things.
