I have managed to hack into my mail database despite Microsoft and I received the following from me ole Pappy:

Did you hear the one about the guy that went to turn the light on in the dark garage and there was a scorpion on the light switch?

But:

A) I just called down south last weekend. Two calls in one month doesn't add up

B) I'm a true Gen X'er.

Yikes, Scorpion Stan got zapped all right per LSO:


But he did get stung by a scorpion last Friday. He went into the garage and went to turn on the light and the scorpion was sitting on the light switch waiting for him. That really hurt at first, then his finger and arm went numb for a week. It is better now.

Now both of my parents have zapped by these vermin!

Sounds painful.  These things don't cause permanent damage do they?  Did your dad have to go to hospital for some sort of anti venom or anything?

Well, I think you go in, but they won't give you anti venom until you're at the point of drooling, at which point you've reached a dangerous level in terms of your body processing the venom.


I think they like to save the anti venom for small infants who can't tolerate the venom.


Not sure if there's permanent damage, I believe my mum had a full recovery.
