Church Signs

Hmm.  It seems that the Christian community in the States has finally accepted the true religious significance of the JD.  Here's the proof:

I think the reference to churchsigngenerator.com gives you away JDK. On a side note, these signs are absolutely ridiculous sometimes. I actually saw one in the South ("The Bible Belt") that said something like "Sinners will suffer damnation" or something to that effect. Makes you think you are living in the age of the Puritans or Iran or something.

There's a church near my mom's house that has had the weirdest/creepiest signs in front for as long as I can remember. I can't think of anything in particular off the top of my head.. but some of them are worth a chuckle, or a raised eyebrow. Next time I go visit, I'll see if there's anything interesting on there

.. well a bit in your face. but biblically true unless said sinners ask for forgiveness of course (and they are a church).. perhaps they should have put something else detailing the alternative options .. that would have been nice. yes.

i don't know how real this one is (cause i've seen it everywhere) but it's pretty funny nevertheless:

Absolutely, seeing a sign like that on a church sure does not make me want to walk in. How about something a little more inviting?

agreed. i wish more churches would do something to encourage people thru the door rather than the terribly ineffective 'guilt' factor. there are a ton of great reasons i assure you. a lot of them are stuck in the past.

my home church is currently installing a £22k media system.. half the old fogies are having fits over it.. pretty funny to watch actually

Now that would get me in! The sign should read:

"Enter ye who would witness the expensive gadgets. Hear ye the really cool sound system!
Oh yea, and we have some salvation around here somewhere!"
