Is it me or is Gmail down? When I try and log in I just get a 'loading' message top left of the screen?

This happened to me once. Needless to say, I was bummed.


In my case, it was loading up and something happened to force it to stop loading and this was cached, locally, somehow. Result: It would just hang on the Load, as you're experiencing; GMail was fubar on my machine for the weekend.


Solution? Clear your cache, dude. Tools->Internet Options and delete everthing, cookies, temp internet files (the real culprit) and history.


Now try again, perhaps in a new IE instance.


You should be all set.
