Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
So, going to Gdansk in April. Others are flying from London, getting there Friday 11am. I have two options:
1. I fly out on the Thursday, getting in at midnight. I shall have to find an extra night's accomodation, found somewhere with 24hr check-in for £21. Flight costs £25 plus taxes.
2. I fly out on the preceeding Tuesday, getting in at midday. Found an appartment for >£30 for the 3 nights I'd be on my own. Would have to pay £25 extra in kennel fees. Flight £4 plus taxes.
Hmm. I vote for option one. It's cheaper and doesn't involve you mooching around on your own for 3 days.
Of course... if you don't mind mooching around Gdansk on your own for 3 days, then I'd go for the second option. It's more expensive but you get a longer holiday...
There is a third option of course. Catch a train to London then get to the airport and go with your mates on Friday. Of course that'll mean you have to set out 2 weeks before and pay about £300 in train fares and stuff... but hey...
Because I get to get in at a decent time and explore a foreign city on my own (which is something I've never done for more than a couple of hours). Also just realised I forgot to take into account the saving of three days train fair at £4.85 a time, so pretty even on the money front.
Just make sure you're wearing long shorts, ankle socks, open toed sandals, a stripy tshirt and have your camera and camcorder bags slung round your neck. They won't all run away then, they'll just stand gawping at you instead.
