The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
Star Wars Battlefront II comes out next week in all formats. I had the first one on PS2 and it was fantastic in both single and multiplayer modes!
So my dilemma is this: I have a £25 voucher for Game that's been hanging around since my birthday (although I accidentally ripped it along the perforation a while ago, so thay mey not take it...) do I buy the game for the PS2 or for the PC? I know that the PC version will look better, play better and all the rest of it, but I still have a lingering fondness for playing stuff in my lounge on the telly.
What to do... what to do...
I will go with the majority vote.
I also fancy the new Spiderman game. Is it wrong of me to buy that, Star Wars AND City of Villains all in one week?
Star Wars Battlefront 1 (hereafter to be known as SWBF) was not well recieved on the PC being stuffed into the rafters by the likes of BF1942.
I've not seen any reviews of SWBF2 (for PC or PS2), however my experience of these things would suggest that if you liked a game on one platform, its better to stick with the platform, as games tend not to translate well. halo, and almost all racing games being a case in point.
Plus, as you rightly point out, there's significantly less potential for getting beaten up by Stead if you buy the PC version
I work with a guy from republic of congo believe it or not. he's a bad man, dont giv him any games! Honestly, he's up to no good, jus no figured out what yet!
Yeah... I'm inclined towards the PS2 (or possibly the gamecube...?) version. The multiplayer was a little bit indistinct on account of being tiny on my little 28" telly, but no less fun for it!
As for your Congo guy... why don't you just ask him?
Heh. I may have been being a tiny tiny bit sarcastic there. But 28" widescreen has pretty much been the standard for new tellies in the UK for three or four years, now. I have a mate with a 34" telly which is very cool. My boss has a 40-something inch plasma screen in his lounge. He never uses it.
Aaaaaaaanyway. My telly is about 8 years old, now. It has attractive red zig-zag lines in dark scenes. I reckon the tube's on it's way out. I may have to buy a new one... and if I do it'll be huuuuuuge. Ish....
