I feel for you both, I got up at 09:45 GMT and I'm just off to a mates house to fix his PC.  After that, I don't know what I'll be doing

And I guess you got to have a cooked breakfast & go shopping afterwards. Where's your problem?

Nope - no shopping and no cooked breakfast.  I had to work too so I'm working from 'home' (home being anywhere I can plug my work laptop in!) so no time for shopping or eating.  I don't get time off in lieu and so far this year I have done 75 extra hours (not counting the stuff at home) for work.  Bummer.

Anyway, when was the last time I actually got to take that time off in lieu?  I suppose it may happen some time.

Now time off in the loo... that's a different story.

You cant beat time off in the loo......

Sorry to see you had to work on Saturday again Darren - I worked from home on Friday and it is soooo boring -

Consider yourself sympathised by I -

See you both soon

I woke up at 3:00 pm today... And smoked my breakfast.

Damn, I forgot to call my mate Bridget regarding moving her apartment. I believe I shall attempt to rise by the crack of noon tomorrow and see how she is faring.

Ce qui? I love working from home. Take Friday for example, I'm in the office, and as always I'm being innundated with Excel questions. As I had a funeral to tend to in the afternoon, dumb questions were not going over well with.

A certain unnamed source asks "Nate, how do you fix the Div/0 error?" "Test the bloody denominator." "How do you do that?" "The same way as the method I showed you two days ago." "How was that again?" "The same as the method I showed you 5 days ago." "Yeah, I just can't get this to work..." "Right, get out a pen and paper and get ready to take some notes." Bah!

This dialogue, being in a cube farm, was a public broadcast, the only redeeming quality to it.

But yeah, to work from home. Where the coffee tastes great (versus crapola) and the tunes get cranked! Some of my favourite working tunes include: "Nobody does it better" and "I like the way I move."

I tend to work well to Beethoven, Dvorak, Stravinsky, Muse or Offspring.

Give it a try - alternate classical & rock in your cd player - the best brain food ever.

Talking of food & sympathy, can I have some sympathy for Simon (my hubby) please?

We've today found out for sure that he has Coeliac Disease: no more wheat, barley, oats, rye and therefore no bread, pasta, beer, yes, I said no beer, curries, sauces, batter, breadcrumbs, burgers (in buns)...

Aargh! Everything in my fridge and freezer has gluten in it.

Here's a link to a Coeliac Disease page for those people who don't know what it is!

No sympathy smilies either.  Sorry.

I'm going shopping NOW!  I thought I might be overexaggerating a little about having nothing suitable in stock, but I've just found out it was no joke.

Double aargh.  Aargh aargh.

Definite symapathy!

You can actually get some edible gluten free food in supermarkets now, but it all hides together in a corner, often near the organic stuff and do try several different pastas, they don't all taste like they're made from wallpaper paste!  I only know this from detoxing, which is another thing, Carol Vorderman detox books have some yummy recipes in, though you would have to be careful, 'cos some do have oats & stuff.  Curry should be OK I think if you make it yourself & you can now get a gluten free fajita kit.  Tip from someone I work with who's a coeliac - the bread tastes better toasted, even for making sandwiches to take to work!  She has also been told though that she shouldn't lick the chocolate of biscuits, however carefully she does it & however desperate she is.

Geesh, thanks.
