i know this article's a month old, but I only came across it today. About half way down it says:

Governments start with all the problems they don't have answers to – terrorism or crime or welfare fraud – and they make a grab at technology – DNA databases or surveillance cameras – and they don't care about the effect on individual freedom"

NOOOOOOOOOO!!! The man should be executed for his crimes against literature! Politicians, especially Tory ones, shouldn't be allowed to (mis)quote classic sci fi like this!

Personally I have no problem with CCTV or databases - if you aint doing anything wrong, you dont have anything to fear !
