hmm, very fun.. altho this list is slightly out of date your highness, firstly your absence *cough*, and secondly the absence of the 5 walton heirs - check it out

altho john walton died recently i'm sure they'd all swap all the money they have to have him back

Yes Darren your list is very dated. It still lists Bill Gates at around 90 Billion. That was in the Windows 98 days. Now it is somewhere around 46 Billion. I am sure that is directly related to the decline in value of MS stock. Buffent has made up some ground and is only a few Billion back now.

Apparantly there was some guy in Russia (or somewhere equally grim - like france) in the medieval days that in real terms was the richest man in history being worth 100 times that of Mr Gates -


He lost it all on a bet though... not really.

I think John D. Rockefeller was supposed to be richer than Gates as well if you adjust for inflation and for the size of the US economy in his day. An estimate was done in 2001 that would put his wealth at 200 Billion.

I've just done a few sums, and if you take lots of other stuff into account and adjust for the fact that I have no money at all, I think you'll find that in pretent terms, I am in fact the richest small furry marsupial in Outer Mongolia.


Similar calculations place Stead as the richest ballerina in Copper's fridge.

so one of billy's friends is interning for microsoft this summer and is going to bill gates' house for a party this evening. that to me, is just surreal.
