Has this been your best year ever?

I heard a thing on the radio today asking people to ring in to say why 2009 was their best year ever - I had a think about it and whilst I decided it probably wasnt my best ever, overall it had been pretty damn good - so here are my pro's for 2009 and I encourage you to do the same -

Pro's -
Survived the recession in my job (just)
Managed to get my career back on track at the year end with a new job ! woot!
Got a nice new car
Recorded some cool songs with Bezz
Made some cool videos and stuff with Dazza
Went to groovy Egypt with Susan (highlight of the year, actually)
Started work on our new short film
All the people I care about most are safe and well

I remain - a lucky git -

I'm not doing Con's because I have a rule not to do anniversaries of bad things and this kinda feels like the same thing - sorta

over to you !

Heh. Mine hasn't been too bad. I, too managed to keep my job. I'm also quite pleased that the phrase 'credit crunch' is finally on the wane.

And there was Arkham Asylum. For a few weeks, I actually WAS Batman! Oh the glory!

Honestly I would say Caswell Bay was the highpoint of the year ... the rest was .. as I have grown accustomed to ...

Ah well ... 2010 soon, my 35th year ... maybe this one will be worth it ...

It will be mate - we're gonna do the new short film and we're gonna re-record IPHTDIS and maybe even get the blues band up for a jam - all kinds a good stuff :)

Starting hopefully with New Years eve at Susan's with good food, wine and stuff and things !

I love this thread - it makes me realise how good things have been for me this year.  Obviously with the exception of some pretty horrible bits that are MUCH better off forgotten, the worst of which was losing my nan.

Ok, s ohere we go.  My highlights, in chronological order, are:

Having the guts to tell my husband I wanted a trial separation
Husband leaving the marital home
Being able to do what I like in my house, when I like
Buying my laptop
Producing a great music video
Being offered a job and turning it down
Getting promoted at work
Ordering a company car (it'll be here in a fortnight!)
A week in Ibiza with the kids
Becoming Jon's girlfriend
Being asked to go on holiday
Buying an LCD tv and PS3
Touching a pyramid
Giggling uncontrollably while riding on a camel heading towards the pyramids
Snorkelling in the Red Sea
Everything else about being in Egypt!
Agreeing a financial settlement
Putting up the christmas tree on 1st December
Signing the divorce papers
Not having to see the soon to be ex's mother over Christmas
Sitting here thinking what great people I have for friends

I feel all warm and fuzzy now. aww
