I was a little suprised he got off all the charges. I did not think he would get nailed for the serious stuff, but I did think the jury would get him for the little stuff like giving alcohol to a minor. Just as sort of a compromise, but I guess not. It would have been funny for him to have to go door to door and introduce himself to his neighboors as a sex offender when he got out of jail....like in the Big Lebowski.
I really thought he'd get nailed on some of the lesser charges. I didn't think he'd get convicted of any of the major charges - this is southern california you know - coughcoughOJ/Robert Blakecoughcoughcough -
I did read though that had he been convicted of all 10 counts of molestation he would have been castrated under california law... Don't know how much of a difference that would have made.
But regardless of if he did it or not - there was already a $25 million payoff to keep one person quiet about similar charges - what the hell are these parents thinking letting their kids go over there? If you ask me - they should be put on trial as well - cuz you know they were just selling their kids out.
Indeed. And let us not forget that, although it's ok to sell your children as slaves or for medical experiments, one should not sell them to 'eccentric' millionaires for... er... whatever it is they went to Jackson's ranch for.
i'm with you steadman, i dont think he was guilty of this one .. i mean, who knows about prior ones, but not this one - all too dodgy - the mother was more guilty than anything
I think the man is weird - do I think he diddles pink boys in bathtubs? No idea. But just the thought that there has been REPEATED SPECULATION about him would be enough for me to keep my children from spending the night.....
Let us not forget that he out and out admitted that he thought there was nothing particularly wrong about sharing his bed with young boys... that just gives me the heebies.
