Keep on running

You trainers didn't stop you running properly did they Darren?  How far did you manage?

I ran a full 8 mins 50 seconds out on the mean streets of Nailsea this evening without stopping!  I was very impressed with myself.

Please feel free to put me to shame by telling me you stayed out for, like, 2 hours.

Why thank you very much.

I actually felt quite invigorated (once I'd got my breath back!)

I have also been running a bit lately, trying to get back to college weight. Been lifting a little too. I have a cousin, I am trying to catch by his wedding. He is in tip top shape (actually I heard he is putting on a little weight, but still very muscley)

How much do you have to lose to get back to 'college weight?'

I'm having to replace all my clothes piece by piece.  I can actually wriggle out of one pair of jeans without undoing them - they were skin tight on me at Christmas.  A couple of skirts have lengthened by an inch or two too, because they sit that much lower on my hips - can be quite tricky getting things to stay where they ought!

Really I just want to move weight around. I am about 195 lbs (88 kg). Most of my weight is in my gut and I would like to get rid of the gut and gain some strength. End result would be a weight gain since muscle weighs more than fat

I have nasty nasty images of liposuction from the belly directly back into the pecs.  Eeew.

Not quite that dramatic. Just time well spent at the gym. I remember once when I was a kid, Geraldo Rivera (a talk show host/news guy) got lipo on his show and had the fat injected into his forehead. pretty nasty. Also a few months ago, I saw Sharon Osbourne get Botox live on her show, equally as gross.

With that image in your head, I leave you for the night. Time to go home. See ya

Well, Stead and I didn't time ourselves (unless he did it secretly) but we covered about 2 miles, we think - which ain't bad for a first try.  there's no sense in pushing ourselves too far at the start and causing injuries.  Neither of us have done any sort of running for years.  We're also doing some weights, which is very manly.  The additional Jammie bulk that the JDK has been carrying lately is coming off quite nicely.  No idea what I weigh, though.  Not sure I care.
