Oh and just as an update on my illness...


While I still have a nagging head cold and fever, it occured to me around 2am today that my body aches were not in fact from an illness, but were a symptom of my deciding to move a rather heavy dresser out of my truck and into my apartment by myself sunday evening. Never even occured to me that was the cause when I first posted.

I need this qualified.  Double ear infection?  I'd understand if it meant a single infection in each ear (although that would mean that when I have a cold, it's a... er... quadruple cold as both sinuses are infected, and my throat, and I have a headache)... but is it a special name for more than one infection in one ear?  Surely either your ear is infected or it's not.


I'm so easily confused...?

I assume it's both sets of sinuses... or at least that's what it feels like and when the doc said I had it his exact words were "looks like you have a double ear infection in both ears". All I can say is pain pain pain pain pain.

Your doctor says that you have an ear infection, when it's your sinuses that hurt.  Are you sure that you don't need to get a second opinion.  Maybe a double opinion?

What all of them?  What if I stuck a rusty nail in my ear.  Surely that would get infected...?

Surely with proper wound treatment that rusty nail would more likely cause a nice case of tetanus.

Which is just a form of infection.  In my ear.  hence - I have a non-sinus related ear infection.  If I stick another nail in my ear, it will be a double.


It really hurts though.  And it makes really loud squelchy noises when I wiggle it.
