Dexter meets Rochester

We got a new addition to the family today... see piccy below of Dexter.

The JDK has just introduced Rochester to Dexter and there's currently lots of interesting wailing and hissing... mainly coming from Rochester... he's defending his territory with a passion...  weirdface

Dexter

Dexter looks cool - I'm surprised at Roachies reaction having lived with another cat before but that was a while ago. I'd be happy to have the Roachster come live with me for a few days, weeks, months, years if you think that would help! :) (please say that would help)....

I'm sure they'll both settle in very soon

Rochester looks like he's finally beginning to realise that Dex is here to stay. He's spent most of the weekend trying to be in a different room to Dex. Every so often, however, he forgets that he's supposed be sulking and joins in the stick chasing or the lap sitting. Of course, it only takes him a minute or two to remember the other cat - usually when he comes into line of sight and goes off to sulk again!

Poor Rochester.  He did look mightily put out on Saturday.
Glad to hear he's easing into it a little. aww.gif

Well it's a start... this is the first time they've fallen asleep near each other and it looks at though Dex is already copying his older brother !!

That is a total result ! great to see

Rochie is very cool - the best cat I've ever known so he'll be a great influence on Dex

Don't be too quick to breathe. It's still a little like the cold war in here...

it might be like that forever. Two of my cats can occupy the same space, but Baby Kitty never really got on to Loki. They'll cuddle.. but occasionally she'll just attack him out of no where

He'll be minding his own business and she'll fly in from some other room, beat him senseless and then run away again.

Dex is a cute kitty though. I'm sure Rochester will get over it :)

Your cats are building nuclear weapons?  I blame Catfish's influence.

Catfish would never be so irresponsible. I'm fairly sure, however, that I saw Stead brokering an illegal arms deal in the kitchen on Saturday...

I have no knowledge of Stead's complicity in any transfer of any FEC controlled Class A, B or C devices in your kitchen on Saturday (time differential notwithstanding)...I was not in the vicinity and have witnesses to verify it...Ben

It's weird how sometimes you never suspect a person until they start to deny something.
