As the map below shows, the Welsh are now fatter than the Scottish! Which is quite amazing...



Having said that though the people of Powys have been shown to live in Britains Happiest Place. So it cant be all bad.

Oddly, there seems to be a little red dot of Obesity on the map, if you look closely, in South Glos...

Hmmm? are you suggesting that I looked up the JDK's address on Googlemaps, copied the picture off the BBC, put it into paint, magnified that area and drew a little dot of the same colour as "highest" in roughly the same spot as the JDK's house, then put it on the JDBB with a mean comment?

I'd quite to like to have one - I'd tie it up and put it in the corner and poke it with sticks... in the meantime I'll just have to settle with you turning up every now and then...

There's so many things they could be doing to earn their dole money! I feel the same about prisoners too (the best prison I ever saw was in Mongolia. Why? Because the prisoners were building it themselves) The first things that come to mind are:
Sorting through all waste to remove anything recyclable/compostable before it hits landfill (gloves & masks to be provided for all but the worst criminals)
Generating electricity by running on treadmills hooked up to the national grid (hmmm, dole blaggers & white collar criminals only, don't want them to be able to run too much faster than the police)
Transportation of goods - long human chains must be better for the environment than trucks?
