The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
How absolutely super to see you in the land of jam! How's tricks? (by which I mean how are things with you generally as opposed to asking after your...er...evening job...which I'm sure you don't do, but if you did, we wouldn't judge you on it, honest.. Not much anyway...)
Last time we heard from you, you had just moved into your super new house. Can we have one of your patented summaries?
Right, bought the house.. guy I was dating moved in with me.. broke up with him... he (finally) moved out... refinished the house (almost done with that.. need to finish tiling)... then selling the house... and moving to a new state.. yep, again. So a week or two and I should be out of here.
Also found a new job.. same industry.. then lost it. Extremely happy about that because I was so sick of what I was doing and burned out beyond belief. And if I never do it again you won't be able to wipe the smile off my face! Now when I move I get to start a career doing something I actually enjoy. Who woulda thunk it?
In between time, hooked up with a new guy, rather spectacular in my opinion... shall be moving in with him...
And the bonus - I never have to see another palm tree again as long as I live! Yep, happy girl!
But I have a friend who thinks he can get me work as a set painter for theater, which is right up my alley. Anything that has to do with painting/playing with power tools and I'm all over it. Plus, I'll really get to work on my faux finishing skills.
Eventually I want to open a furniture shop... very specific furniture of my own designing... but I need to work on my skills a bit more first and I think set painting will actually go a long way to help that.
It's been a busy time, then! I'm glad you're getting on better - I seem to recall that many of your posts here a couple of years back revolved around how shit your job was, so it sounds like a change is just what you need - especially if you're in a position to do something you can really enjoy!
Good to have you back! Keep us updated. And post photos of the things you paint! We like photos!
When you open your furniture shop, can I commission a Jammie Throne? I've always wanted a throne...
