The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
IP masking. If you surf the web through a US based masking site, it's usually enough to fool the sort of security they use on this sort of site. Not always, though.
It uses frames to display websites which it navigates to on your behalf (and show you extra banner ads at the same time). You should find em if you google. I don't need it often enough to have one handy.
As an AOL user, you must have noticed that you're somtimes routed theough a US server which means that watching stuff on the BBC website becomes a pain in the @rse... Basically the same thing...
You can also get software that does the same sort of thing, but I've never fancied installing what's basically spyware on my pc.

The masking site is a good idea - I'm with you in that I wouldnt want spyware on my PC - I dont get a problem from AOL other than not being able to use sites that require you to be in the US (Pandora etc) because AOL in the UK has been owned by Carphone Warehouse for some time now - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6039740.stm
Americal Online, owned by a UK company! - the worlds gone mad!

I stopped using aol about 18mths ago, so I musta missed that one. It's amazing though. Like someone in the boardroom sat down and wondered what they could do to make AOL even crapper. I know... lets sell to the worst high street mobile phone supplier in the country. That'll be ace!
To be fair their connection speed and reliability is very good - but they are quite pricey! having said that their software is AWFUL and they make this big thing about you 'needing' it when in fact you dont. All it does is provide them with a forum for massive advertising - thats ropey.
But just using it for the connection? super
