HMRC loses a shedload of data!

Heh heh heh...

Ministers under fire over records
The government's "basic competence" has been questioned by the Tories after the loss in the post of computer discs with 25m people's personal details on them. The child benefit data on them includes names, ages, bank and address details.
The moral of this story... You should never have had kids! If you've been dumb enough to have kids, your bank account details have been compromised. If, like me, you've managed to resist the, frankly underwhelming, urge to spawn, you have nothing to worry about. thumbsup.gif Hooray.

Thanks for the extra work though, Mr Darling. I was wondering what to do with my day and now I can spend it calming down over excited senior managers! nod.gif

There has been surprisingly little flapping at my end - though my Director did say to me this morning that I should 'consider the impact' of all this on my Project - so I did - then went and got some tea... numpty....
