I was recently made aware of a competition (now closed, I think) which required entrants to photograph something that depicted 'Britishness'. The photograph that most evoked the feeling of Britishness (presumably in the eyes of the judges) would win.
For the purposes of this thread: post a photo, whether you took it, found it on the net, whatever, that most depicts the country in which you reside. Or the country that you used to reside. Or any country really. As long a the picture is representative of that country. Not neccessarily an idealist, patriotic photo - something that you feel really says 'Britain' (or America, or Oz, or wherever it is you live!).
Probably a slow burner, this one. I've got nothing at the moment...
well I'm off to Dalbeattie for a weeks holibags and will have no tinterweb access - I shall be trying to photograph evidence of Global Warming while I'm gone and possibly plundering some spanish gallions (drinking sn miguel) catch you later peeps.

I really should make the effort to follow up my own thread here.
Took this a couple of years ago. The tower atop Glastonbury Tor. Not only is this almost relevant (ok, a week late, maybe) but it looks jolly cool and is a world reknoened landmark. On a hill.
Extra points for spotting Stead and/or my little brother in the picture.
