Caffeinated Soap

This is kinda...wrong. I just have a mental image of people turning up to work smelling of coffe.

Tired of waking up and having to wait for your morning java to brew? Are you one of those groggy early morning types that just needs that extra kick? Know any programmers who dont regularly bathe and need some special motivation? Introducing Shower Shock, the original and world's first caffeinated soap from ThinkGeek. When you think about it, ShowerShock is the ultimate clean buzz ;)

Shower Shock is an all vegetable based glycerine soap which does *not* contain any harsh ingredients like ethanol, diethanolamine, polyethylene glycol or cocyl isethionate. So it's a gently invigorating soap ;) Scented with peppermint oil and infused with caffeine anhydrous, each bar of Shower shock contains approximately 12 servings/showers per 4 ounce bar with 200 milligrams of caffeine per serving. No, we're not kidding and no you don't eat it. The caffeine is absorbed through the skin...

Have smelly co-workers that sleep in too much? Give them the gift of Shower Shock...

Nope, really, have seen write ups of this elsewhere, you absorb about 4 cups worth of caffeine!

Rubbish, innit?

Imagine if you had TWO showers. Or a shower right before bed.

Could be dangerous you know, what if you borrowed some while staying with a friend & didn't realise? I've given up coffee (cry.gif) because it makes me shake like a mad shaky thing if I then have to take my asthma inhaler, my mate had to give it up because he was rushed to hospital with heart problems caused by caffeine.

Probably best not to buy any, then!

I think I'm effectively immune to caffeine at this point.... I drink at least a pot or two of coffee a day.. by myself wary.gif  No shakes or jitters or anything.  It doesn't even really keep me awake at night.

I did drink the kind of strength where you can stand the spoon up in it & then watch it dissolve! Only a mug a day but probably equivalent to at least 4 for most people (or 400 from a vending machine). I will occasionally treat myself from Starbuck's or somewhere & I'm fine with that .

I love coffee. Good coffee, that is. Why does nowhere serve good coffee? The stuff in the canteen at work is like hot liquid poo.

Since I gave up coffee I cant drink it anymore because it screws me up with the shakes - all in all I'm glad I'm off it! wink.gif

I generally avoid it, even though I love it. Probably have it about once a month. I do get a cup of so-called coffee every day, first thing in the morning from the vending machine and then push it around my desk for a bit before deciding that I can't bring myself to drink it. It's mostly a habit thing because the canteen doesn't open for proper hot drinks for ages and I'm usually gagging for a hot drink.

Doesn't give me the shakes, though...

I think to give up coffee would be like giving up an arm.

JDK should we ever someday meet I will make you some really yimmish and yummy coffee. I had a hard time finding good coffee when I was over there and took to tea, but resumed my coffeejunkie status the moment I was back here.

The only time I ever had to give up coffee was when I was pregnant. By some cruel game by the gods the only thing that made me want to lose my lunch was the smell of coffee brewing. I still wanted it, but the smell drove me up a wall. I couldn't even walk past a coffee shop without feeling ill. It was horrible

The shakes are not good. Used to only get them if I drank too much (by this I probably mean enough to kill lesser mortals) but I just can't combine with ventolin, would shake so bad I had to drink water through a straw to avoid throwing it everywhere & also fell over & stuff (my gp didn't see this as a problem, she just advised me to sit down, thankfully I made the coffee connection all on my own).
Has to be said though, when I do treat myself I enjoy it all the more now it's something I don't take for granted. (Tries to persuade herself this theory would work on chocolate. Fails.)
