You may or may not be aware that Steven Speilberg and Tom Cruise were planning to make a War of the Worlds movie...  Looks like they were beaten to it!

Cool - its nice to know that hollywood cant always bully the smaller production companies - makes for a much wider range of movies, not just the production line tripe that a lot of the american companaies inflict on us
