The following Dodgers have been smited by the JDK for their crimes against Jam:
All the girls! for picking on the JDK and damaging his already delicate self esteem!
The Basserd Who Nicked Copper's Stuff For the offense of nicking Copper's stuff. You are a tw*t, whoever you are and we all hope you get run over by a tram in Nottingham. Or Liverpool. Or whereever else they have trams!
Copper For the crime of playing with her Wii instead of her Jammie pals!
There is a lot to be said for buying the cheapest car you can find (under £200) with 12 months MOT - if it fails next year - who cares! scrap it.......

That's the plan, this one only cost me £250 & it has done nearly 2 years, though I think I spent at least another couple of hundred keeping it on the road!
OK, so, been thinking (this is a bit of a shocking & extreme thought, which goes against the norms of civilisation as we know it, so please ensure you're sat down & not too close to any hot liquids, I shall say it quitely) do I really need a car? I live somewhere with pretty decent public transport, which I'm already paying £85 a month for to get the train into work & may as well get my monies worth, so I'm thinking of saving myself a substantial amount of cash, by not having to pay tax, petrol, insurance, MOTs parts & repairs or the purchase price of a new rust-bucket. Doubt it'll be a long-term thing, but I shall stay carless until payday as a trial period, then if I'm coping I might aim to wait until next summer before re-joining the petrol combusting throngs. That way if I do find myself sadly dependant I will at least be able to raise my spending money to £3, or even £4! It would also give me opportunity to be environmentally smug!
By the way everyone - Keep an eye on BBC4 this week - a prom every night!!
Shostakovich 5 on Friday night (one of my favourites!), Dvorak 9 on Thursday, you've missed Beethoven 9 tonight (Berlin Phil & Simon Rattle - good one!).
DO NOT FORGET LAST NIGHT OF THE PROMS NEXT SATURDAY - BBC2 from 7:30 and then it moves to BBC1 after the interval!!
